I'm tempted to stay home and enjoy labor day but since it's not labor day here I'm set up with a long list of things to do, including a bank account, a cell phone, a corkscrew, and the delivery of some documents to the French government. And a student id.
It's a quiet and cloudy day. We had a delightful evening last night with Joe and Melinda and their five boys. Patrick and Hazel stopped by and we had s'mores between games of badmitton. (No scores.)
ReplyDeleteI am amazed at how communication has changed since I was in India. (Yes, thirty-five years ago.) Back then communicating involved writing letters and waiting weeks for a reply. There was a real time warp invovled because the letters I received referenced things that were weeks old and often forgotten. There was nothing instantaneous about it.
In your list I didn't see going to class. Does your class start today?
And by the way, the icemaker on the refrigerator stopped working? Any suggestions?
